-7 bottoms (since we have boys, we pack these quick-dry swim suits to double as bottoms!)

-7 tops (we packed these quick-dry shirts that double as rash guards and come in a 2-pack!)

-7 underwear

-Closed-Toe water shoes ( many water activities required closed-toe and we all loved these!)

-Tevas (here’s our faves!)

-Multiple swimsuits (they dry fast in the humidity and we love these lined anti-chafe suits)

-PJs

-Sun hat (Here’s the ones we pack!)

Closed-Toe Water ShoesFind kid’s here! Find our teen/adult ones here!

Costa Rica rainforest weather can change instantly. If rain changes the mood in your fam, these are disposable and pack super small.

Quick-Dry Compact Travel TowelsFind them here!
We packed these wondering if we would need them often…we used the EVERYDAY. It was so helpful to have compact towels that we could clean off with before jumping into the rental car and then hang it up and use the next day again. They also made getting back into the rental car MUCH easier.

We were so glad we brought a dry bag backpack to hold all our stuff on all our water excursions and the beach too! It kept all our stuff dry in the unpredictable weather Costa Rica can have especially in the rainforest.

Costa Rica involves a lot of driving between destinations. Distances are deceiving, and roads can be slow due to construction, dirt roads, and traffic. I avoid screens when I can and this is always a fun alternative with different prompts, games and challenges.

Bouncing Water BallsGrab some here!
These are a vacation staple for our family. They bounce on water. They are soft and squishy to avoid black eyes. They don’t sink and disappear.

One of the BEST Costa Rica wildlife hacks.
We used them daily to spot sloths, toucans, monkeys, iguanas and more.

Never bringing sinking frisbees again. This is a 2-pack and they played for hours in the waves and in the hot springs at Tabacon in La Fortuna.

Surf Dude Beach ToyHad this for 5 years strong!
